VENDORS THAT I USED Thought I would share my thoughts on some of the vendors that I used for parts and related items for my 58 rebuild.
Windshield wiper motor rebuild – great little company, could be better on communications but did what he said he was going to do. Various plans for wiper motor rebuild looked and work’s great but put stickers all over the place. http://www.corvettespecialtiesofmd.com/ web site info@CorvetteSpecialtiesOfMD.com - e mail
Bumpers and Stainless steel polishing – Bumpers are done very nicely, very fair cost. Stainless that I did not do myself was done by this firm. Located just outside of Kutztown, PA. Does a lot of motorcycle chrome work as well as car items. He kept his word, prices fair. Delivery was delayed due to a motorcycle accident but worked hard to keep the schedule As with any shop like this keep an inventory of all parts, it helps both of you with later questions ( I had no issues). Web site has no address but he does respond to e mails. Learned to look at the back of the parts for rust and rot, he was straight up about the work required. Stainless – WOW that is all I can say!
Hauck Metal Finishing
Miscellaneous parts “Auto City Classics” – Need we say more, Auto City is the best of the best. Fair prices and good delivery combined with wisdom! Hard to come by today. Web site not very good but catalog is the best.
Auto City Classics – sales@autocityclassic.com
Tim or Mike
Heater Control valve rebuild - Not sure if still around, can’t find original invoice only my PO. Sorry no phone number or any other information. Anybody know him? Did a great job at a VERY fair price, $65 for like new rebuild. A.
Petrik
Heater Core / Radiator / Gas Tank repairs – I have Know this shop since the 60”s, father to son. Did the gas tank, heater core and radiator at very fair prices. This is an old time shop, no web site but seems to do a lot of old cars as well as new. Heater core was $63 and it looks like new. If you use him don’t have him paint the part, uses rather nasty paint. I dropped off my radiator on a Wednesday, picked it up the next day!
Razzi Radiator and Air – “Richie”
Power Coating – Had several parts done in power coating at this shop. For quality, reference that he does Army and Marine corps military power coating to MIL spec. The shop can handle frames and almost any part due to the size of his ovens. Alan knows what he is talking about, just give him the information, he will give you a fair job. Have color charts that can match almost any color.

Prestige Power Coating
Power Steering – For those of you that want a great power steering add on, go here. Keeps his word, is helpful, does what he says he is going to do! I think his name is Steve Pratt, but he is on Chevy talk so easy to find.
Authentic Automotive Contact:

Clock Repair – For $40 (2005 price) this person rebuilt my clock to NEW. While local to me you see his Items on e bay. Good communicator did what he said at the price he quoted, Interesting because the quality of the work exceeded my expectations.
Murphs25@aol.com
Seat covers and door panels – Where else can you go? Kind of difficult to communicate with, did not get a comfortable feeling with my dealings. They did deliver the correct interior and related items, they just do not communicate very well. I know they know what they are talking about; they just make you feel stupid. The web site lacks definition of the selection options offered to you, leaving you to guess that you and “they” are on the same page. Want a better feeling, go to Auto City and buy from them.
CARS 1 (Was Cedilla)
Padded Dash - Thought I would go overboard on this one. Fits very nice, don’t’ understand why you need to supply color samples (I did not) but they still charge you $60 for the color match. They had a match from a previous job after I referenced a CARS interior. Freight and handling was on the expensive side at $69.00, nothing special about the packing except a big box and ups ground. Actual UPS charges were $21. So the box was an expensive one.
